If you’ve been to PetSmart or Petco lately, you’ve probably seen Starmark’s training products and toys hanging on the shelves in the dog section. So far we’ve designed a website, multiple brochures and packaging for their products.

Where are you located?
Hutto, TX – Just “outside” Austin
We conducted a nationwide real estate search and settled on the Austin area based on demographic trends and availability of ranch land close to a major city.
How many people does your company employ?
We run three separate, but related entities at our headquarters in Austin, TX. Depending on time of year, we employ up to 50 staff members.
What does your company do?
We started Triple Crown Dog Academy, Inc. as a small boarding and training facility in Tucson, AZ in 1994. In 1997 we moved to Hutto, TX and we are now one of the largest luxury boarding and training facilities in the world. Wall Street Journal referred to our business as “Doggy Disney World”. A few years later we launched Triple Crown Academy School for Professional Dog Trainers, Inc. This business attracts students from around the world who want to start a career as a professional dog trainer. In 2002 we began designing dog training products and interactive dog toys. Soon after we formed Starmark Pet Products, Inc. Through this company we sell training tools, interactive play and mental stimulation toys. In the USA PetSmart and Petco are two of our largest customers, however, we also have warehouses in Europe and Asia that we use to distribute our product worldwide.

We cater to dog owners, enthusiasts and pet professionals.
What has been your greatest success?
Our greatest success continues to be taking a hobby we are passionate about and turning that into successful business models.
Where do you find inspiration?
We find inspiration through improving the lives of people and their pets.
Where do you want to be in five years?
We would like to expand our local operations to include more kennels, create new distribution channels for our products and double our product offerings.
Why did you choose Creative Suitcase?
In 2011 our product company completed a comprehensive rebranding initiative through a major packaging redesign. We needed a design company to tie that rebranding back to our website, brochures and other communication materials. We specifically wanted a local company to help capture the essence of our Austin area headquarters. What results have you experienced with us?
Since our rebranding initiative we have gained further market penetrations within pet specialty channels and have continued to expand our sales abroad.
