Offer safe, easily accessible information to domestic violence and sexual assault survivors and their support network.

Solution

Communicate the organization’s persona and position as a refuge through the logo by surrounding the people icon with a protective barrier.

Display the plethora of website information in a way that is easy to navigate for survivors who need help quickly.

Create a quick escape button that appears on all pages throughout the website. This gives visitors an easy way off the website in case an antagonist is approaching.

Create a Flash animation on the home page with survivor messages and testimonials that tells the story of SafePlace and the work they do.

Offer a virtual tour of SafePlace that allows people to understand what the shelter looks like.

Provide main sections strictly dedicated to volunteers and donors and offer information on sexual assault and domestic violence for support networks.
